Description

Irresistible party appetizer with crispy pretzel dough and juicy bratwurst filling.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 24 pieces of bratwurst
  • Coarse sea salt for topping


Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix in flour and salt until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Divide the dough into pieces and wrap them around bratwurst.
  7. Prepare a baking soda bath and submerge the wrapped bratwurst pieces for 30 seconds.
  8. Place on a baking sheet and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  9. Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
