Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups warm water
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup baking soda
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 24 pieces of bratwurst
- Coarse sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Mix in flour and salt until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for 20 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Divide the dough into pieces and wrap them around bratwurst.
- Prepare a baking soda bath and submerge the wrapped bratwurst pieces for 30 seconds.
- Place on a baking sheet and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
