A simple and delicious recipe for air fryer fish fillets with a crispy exterior and tender flaky inside, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 4 white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, haddock), fresh or thawed
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 large eggs
- Cooking spray or olive oil, for spraying
Instructions
- In a shallow bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth.
- Pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels.
- Dip each fillet into the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off, then press firmly into the breadcrumb mixture.
- Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and preheat for about 5 minutes.
- Place the coated fillets in a single layer inside the air fryer basket and lightly spray the tops with olive oil or cooking spray.
- Cook for 8 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Transfer the fillets to a serving plate and enjoy right away with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
Notes
Ensure fish fillets are dry before coating for better breadcrumb adherence. Experiment with different seasonings as desired.
