Description

A delightful fusion of traditional Soan Papdi and soft cupcakes, perfect for Rakhi celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1/2 cup khoya
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom (optional)
  • Colorful sprinkles or edible flowers (for decoration)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and baking powder together.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip egg whites to soft peaks.
  4. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the flour mixture, ensuring not to overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling them halfway.
  6. Add small bits of Soan Papdi batter on top of the cupcake batter.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden.
  8. Let cupcakes cool completely before decorating.

Notes

Use high-quality khoya and ghee for the best flavor. An oven thermometer can help ensure accurate baking temperatures.
