A delightful fusion of traditional Soan Papdi and soft cupcakes, perfect for Rakhi celebrations.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup ghee
- 1/2 cup khoya
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp cardamom (optional)
- Colorful sprinkles or edible flowers (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a cupcake tin with liners.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and baking powder together.
- In a separate bowl, whip egg whites to soft peaks.
- Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the flour mixture, ensuring not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling them halfway.
- Add small bits of Soan Papdi batter on top of the cupcake batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until golden.
- Let cupcakes cool completely before decorating.
Notes
Use high-quality khoya and ghee for the best flavor. An oven thermometer can help ensure accurate baking temperatures.
