Description

Delightful sweet rolls combining buttery dough with tart-sweet raspberries, perfect for brunch or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 package (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup whole milk, warmed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, proof the yeast in warm milk until bubbly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add melted butter, eggs, and yeast mixture to the flour blend.
  4. Knead the dough until smooth and let it rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough and spread the raspberries evenly over it.
  6. Roll the dough tightly and cut into rolls.
  7. Place rolls on a baking sheet and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes or until golden.
  9. Brush with melted butter and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For best results, use fresh raspberries and ensure yeast is fresh for proofing.
