Ingredients
- 1 can (15 ounces) Chickpeas, drained and rinsed
 - 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (Extra virgin olive oil to coat the chickpeas)
 - 1 teaspoon Salt (Enhances the natural flavors of the chickpeas)
 - 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (Adds an aromatic quality to the flavor profile)
 - 0.5 teaspoon Cumin (Adds a warm, earthy flavor)
 - 1 teaspoon Paprika (Provides a subtle smokiness)
 - 0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper (Adds a touch of heat and depth)
 - 0.5 teaspoon Chili Powder (Gives a nice kick; adjust according to heat preference)
 - 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice (Optional but recommended for added brightness)
 
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
 - Drain and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly under cold water.
 - Pat the chickpeas dry with a kitchen towel.
 - In a mixing bowl, combine the chickpeas with olive oil and mix well.
 - Add salt, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, black pepper, and chili powder to the bowl. Mix until well coated.
 - Spread the chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
 - Roast the chickpeas in the oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through.
 - Remove from the oven when golden brown and crunchy. Allow to cool before serving.
 - Transfer to a serving bowl or airtight container.
 
Notes
Make sure to dry the chickpeas well for extra crunch. Experiment with additional spices like curry powder or cinnamon for variation. For storage, keep in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for up to a week.
