Description

Savory sausage and creamy cheese combined with zesty Rotel tomatoes wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked breakfast sausage
  • 1 (10 oz) can Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, with juice
  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 1 package crescent roll dough (typically 8 oz)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked and crumbly. Drain excess grease and let cool slightly.
  2. In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage, softened cream cheese, and Rotel tomatoes with juice. Mix in garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Unroll crescent roll dough on a clean surface and separate into triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the filling at the wide end of each triangle, roll towards the pointed end, and seal edges gently.
  5. Arrange the filled bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with ranch dressing or your favorite dipping sauce. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
