Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 lb Ground Pork
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs (soaked in milk)
- 2 large Onions (caramelized)
- 1 cup Cheese (Gruyere or Swiss, shredded)
- Salt & Pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef and pork.
- Soak breadcrumbs in milk for a few minutes, then mix into the meat.
- Season with salt and pepper, mixing gently to combine.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs and let them chill in the fridge for 10 minutes.
- Caramelize sliced onions in a skillet with butter and olive oil over medium-low heat for about 20 minutes.
- Bake the meatballs on a sheet tray until cooked through.
- Combine meatballs with caramelized onions in the skillet.
- Top with shredded cheese and let it melt before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, let the meatballs rest off the heat for a few minutes before serving. Use high-quality meat for the best flavor.
