Ingredients
- 4 large Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh herbs (parsley, chives), for garnish
- 1 cup cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or feta), optional
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Slice the potatoes thinly but keep them intact at the bottom.
- Drizzle olive oil over the potatoes and sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, and salt.
- If using, layer cheese between the slices.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 40-50 minutes, checking for doneness at 40 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
Use a mandoline slicer for even slices. Monitor oven temperature to prevent burning on top.
