Description

Ingredients

  • 4 large Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley, chives), for garnish
  • 1 cup cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or feta), optional


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Slice the potatoes thinly but keep them intact at the bottom.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the potatoes and sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, and salt.
  4. If using, layer cheese between the slices.
  5. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 40-50 minutes, checking for doneness at 40 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

Use a mandoline slicer for even slices. Monitor oven temperature to prevent burning on top.
