  • 1 kg fresh crab, cleaned and cut into pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 2-3 chilies, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Steamed buns or rice for serving
  • Chopped green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a wok, heat the vegetable oil and sauté garlic, ginger, and chilies until fragrant.
  2. Add the crab pieces and stir-fry for a few minutes to coat with the aromatics.
  3. Mix in the tomato paste, soy sauce, and sugar, and ensure the crab is well coated.
  4. Cover and simmer until the crab is cooked through and flavors are infused, about 30 minutes.
  5. Serve hot with steamed buns or over rice, garnished with chopped green onions.
