Description

Delightful scalloped sweet potatoes featuring a rich, cheesy sauce that pairs well with a variety of main dishes.


Ingredients

  • 4 large sweet potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Layer the sliced sweet potatoes in the baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Pour over the sweet potatoes.
  4. Sprinkle with both cheeses over the top.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden-brown.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, substitute coconut milk and use dairy-free cheese.
