Description
A delectable twist on the classic Italian dish featuring layers of pasta filled with a rich, creamy mixture of shrimp and crab.
Ingredients
- Lasagna sheets
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 lb crab meat
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Olive oil, for cooking
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add shrimp and cook until pink, then add crab meat and stir.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, parsley, basil, salt, and pepper.
- Layer the bottom of a baking dish with lasagna sheets.
- Spread a layer of the seafood mixture over the pasta, followed by the ricotta mixture.
- Add another layer of lasagna sheets and repeat the layers until ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of sauce.
- Pour heavy cream over the top layer and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For best results, allow the lasagna to sit for a while after baking to help it hold its shape when cutting.
