Description

A delectable twist on the classic Italian dish featuring layers of pasta filled with a rich, creamy mixture of shrimp and crab.


Ingredients

  • Lasagna sheets
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil, for cooking


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add shrimp and cook until pink, then add crab meat and stir.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, parsley, basil, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer the bottom of a baking dish with lasagna sheets.
  5. Spread a layer of the seafood mixture over the pasta, followed by the ricotta mixture.
  6. Add another layer of lasagna sheets and repeat the layers until ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of sauce.
  7. Pour heavy cream over the top layer and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  9. Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best results, allow the lasagna to sit for a while after baking to help it hold its shape when cutting.
