Description

A delicious twist on traditional lasagna, combining tender pasta, shrimp, and crab with a rich Alfredo sauce. Perfect for special dinners.

Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 kg shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 450 g crab meat
  • 480 ml ricotta cheese
  • 200 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 80 g grated Parmesan cheese
  • 950 ml Alfredo sauce
  • 240 ml heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 30 ml olive oil
  • 15 ml fresh parsley, chopped
  • 5 ml salt
  • 5 ml black pepper
  • 2.5 ml red pepper flakes
  • 60 g breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 190°C.
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until aromatic.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Stir in crab meat, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.
  6. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 100 g of mozzarella cheese, 40 g of Parmesan cheese, heavy cream, and chopped parsley. Mix until smooth.
  7. Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce across the base of a 33×23 cm baking dish. Add a layer of noodles.
  8. Top the noodles with one-third of the cheese mixture and one-third of the seafood mixture. Drizzle more Alfredo sauce on top.
  9. Repeat the layering process two more times. Finish with a final layer of noodles and another drizzle of Alfredo sauce.
  10. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over top, and add breadcrumbs evenly.
  11. Cover dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  12. Remove the foil and bake for an extra 10-15 minutes until the top is golden and filling is bubbling.
  13. Let lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with extra parsley if desired.

Notes

For a creamier texture, add more heavy cream to the cheese mixture. You can substitute seafood with vegetables for a vegetarian option.
