Description

A delightful fusion dessert combining flaky croissants with rich Shahi Tukda flavors, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 day-old croissants
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • A pinch of saffron
  • Slivered almonds or pistachios (for garnish)
  • Rose water syrup (optional)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the croissants in half.
  3. In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, cardamom, and saffron. Let simmer until sugar dissolves.
  4. Let the syrup infuse for 30 minutes.
  5. Soak each croissant half in the syrup for 30-60 seconds on each side.
  6. Place the soaked croissants on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden and crispy.
  8. Garnish with slivered almonds or pistachios and serve warm, optionally drizzled with rose water syrup.

Notes

Use stale croissants for better syrup absorption. Adjust soaking time to prevent sogginess.
