Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (parsley or dill), chopped
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the shrimp in a skillet over medium heat until pink and tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- In a food processor, blend the cooked shrimp with softened butter, garlic, lemon juice, and herbs until smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
- Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Serve spread on toasted baguette slices or with crackers.
Notes
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
