Delicious poppers filled with a savory shrimp and cheese mixture, wrapped in crispy bacon.
Ingredients
- 12 jalapeños
- 1 pound cooked shrimp, chopped
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 12 slices bacon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice jalapeños in half and remove seeds for less heat.
- In a bowl, combine chopped shrimp, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and season with salt and pepper.
- Stuff each jalapeño half with the shrimp mixture.
- Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
- Place the poppers on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve hot, optionally with sour cream or ranch dressing.
Notes
For a milder flavor, use smaller jalapeños and remove all seeds. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
