Description

Quick and easy lazy pierogi recipe that simplifies traditional preparation, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Farmer’s Cheese (Use fresh for best results.)
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour (Swap with a gluten-free blend if needed.)
  • 2 large Eggs (No substitutes advisable.)
  • 4 tablespoons Butter (Try browning for a nutty flavor.)
  • 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs (Optional for crunchy texture.)
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar (Perfect with a hint of cinnamon.)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the farmer’s cheese, flour, and eggs until well combined. The mixture should be thick but smooth.
  2. Take a non-stick pan and melt the butter over medium heat. If you want that nutty taste, let the butter brown slightly.
  3. Pour the cheese mixture into the pan, spreading it evenly.
  4. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until it begins to set and turn golden brown.
  5. Flip the mixture gently and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the other side is also golden.
  6. If using breadcrumbs, sprinkle them on top before serving for added texture.
  7. Add sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon if you like a sweet touch.

Notes

Serve warm with melted butter or sour cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for 2 months.
