Ingredients
- 4-6 beef short ribs
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups red wine
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Fresh herbs (such as thyme and rosemary)
Instructions
- Season short ribs generously with salt and pepper.
- Sear the ribs in a hot skillet until browned on all sides.
- Transfer the ribs to a slow cooker.
- Add red wine, beef broth, onions, carrots, garlic, and fresh herbs to the slow cooker.
- Cook on LOW for about 8 hours until the meat is tender.
Notes
For best results, do not skip the searing step and use a good quality dry red wine.
