Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs chicken breast
- 1 can (15 oz) Great Northern beans, drained
- 1 cup diced onions
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (4 oz) diced green chiles
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Cilantro, for garnish
- Avocado, for garnish
- Sour cream, for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken with chili powder, cumin, and salt.
- Place the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Add diced onions, minced garlic, drained beans, green chiles, and chicken broth.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- After cooking, shred the chicken, then stir in the heavy cream.
- Serve with cilantro, avocado, and sour cream on top.
Notes
For added flavor, consider browning the chicken before slow cooking. The chili can be customized with various beans or spices.
