  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 12–16 oz spaghetti

  2. Form 1 1/4 to 1 1/2-inch meatballs and chill briefly.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear meatballs until browned on all sides (about 6–8 minutes).
  4. Transfer meatballs to simmering tomato sauce and simmer gently for 20–25 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
  5. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente (about 9–11 minutes).
