Description
A quick and delicious Italian dish made with spaghetti, garlic, and olive oil, perfect for a busy weeknight.
Ingredients
- 400g spaghetti
- 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- Salt, for boiling
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Fresh Parmesan, grated (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the spaghetti until al dente.
- While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced garlic to the skillet, watching it closely until fragrant and lightly golden.
- Reserve some cooking water, then drain the pasta.
- Toss the drained spaghetti with the garlic oil and a bit of reserved pasta water to create a sauce.
- Serve garnished with chopped parsley, grated Parmesan, and a pinch of red pepper flakes, if desired.
Notes
Choose high-quality olive oil for the best flavor. Don’t rinse the pasta after draining to keep the starch for sauce adherence.
