Description

Ingredients

  • 400g spaghetti
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • Salt, for boiling
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Fresh Parmesan, grated (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the spaghetti until al dente.
  2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced garlic to the skillet, watching it closely until fragrant and lightly golden.
  4. Reserve some cooking water, then drain the pasta.
  5. Toss the drained spaghetti with the garlic oil and a bit of reserved pasta water to create a sauce.
  6. Serve garnished with chopped parsley, grated Parmesan, and a pinch of red pepper flakes, if desired.

Notes

Choose high-quality olive oil for the best flavor. Don’t rinse the pasta after draining to keep the starch for sauce adherence.
