Description

A delicious fusion of traditional chicken tikka and pizza, offering a spicy kick that will delight your taste buds.

Ingredients

  • 250g boneless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into cubes
  • 100g plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 250g strong white bread flour
  • 1 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 150ml warm water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 100ml pizza sauce
  • 150g grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • Fresh coriander leaves
  • Red chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, cumin, coriander, turmeric, garam masala, chili powder, and salt. Add the chicken cubes, coat them well, cover the bowl, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (overnight is best).
  2. In a separate bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the flour. Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until it’s soft and elastic. Cover it and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the marinated chicken until browned and cooked through. Set aside to cool slightly.
  5. Preheat the oven to 220°C (430°F) and place a baking sheet or pizza stone inside to heat up.
  6. Roll the dough to your desired thickness on parchment paper. Spread the pizza sauce over the dough. Add the cooked chicken, onions, bell peppers, and mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Slide the parchment with the pizza onto the preheated baking sheet or stone. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Once done, top with chopped coriander and red chili flakes (if using). Slice the pizza and serve hot.

Notes

For a crispier crust, use a pizza stone. Adjust the spice level by changing the amount of chili powder.
