Description

A delightful dessert combining the sweet juiciness of strawberries and the crisp tartness of apples in a flaky, buttery crust.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 2 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1-2 tablespoons ice water


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
  3. Add chilled butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Stir in ice water until dough forms.
  5. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
  6. Roll out the dough and fit it into a pie dish.
  7. In another bowl, toss strawberries and apples with sugar and cinnamon.
  8. Fill the prepared crust with the fruit mixture.
  9. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until crust is golden and fruit is bubbly.
  10. Let cool before serving.

Notes
