Ingredients
- 2 cups sliced strawberries
- 2 cups sliced apples
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1-2 tablespoons ice water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt.
- Add chilled butter and mix until crumbly.
- Stir in ice water until dough forms.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough and fit it into a pie dish.
- In another bowl, toss strawberries and apples with sugar and cinnamon.
- Fill the prepared crust with the fruit mixture.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, until crust is golden and fruit is bubbly.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, substitute the all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend. Use coconut oil or plant-based margarine for a dairy-free version.
