Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 cups apples, sliced
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 recipe for basic pie crust
- 1 egg, for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the pie crust and chill.
- In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries, apples, sugar, and lemon juice.
- Assemble the pie by layering the fruit in the crust.
- Brush the top with egg wash.
- Bake until the crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly, about 35 minutes.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
