Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Powdered sugar, for garnish (optional)
- Fresh mint, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In serving dishes, layer the vanilla pudding, sliced strawberries, and whipped cream.
- Repeat layers until the dishes are filled. Chill before serving.
- Garnish with powdered sugar and mint, if desired.
Notes
For best results, use fresh, ripe strawberries and chill your mixing bowls before whipping cream.
