Description

A delightful twist on the classic dessert featuring creamy layers of vanilla pudding, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Powdered sugar, for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh mint, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract. Cook over medium heat, whisking continuously until the mixture thickens.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In serving dishes, layer the vanilla pudding, sliced strawberries, and whipped cream.
  4. Repeat layers until the dishes are filled. Chill before serving.
  5. Garnish with powdered sugar and mint, if desired.

Notes

For best results, use fresh, ripe strawberries and chill your mixing bowls before whipping cream.
