Description

A delicious homemade stuffed crust pizza filled with melty cheese and hearty pepperoni, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese sticks
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 4 oz pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon cornmeal (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil to the yeast mixture and knead until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  5. Roll out the dough into a large circle.
  6. Place mozzarella cheese sticks around the outer edge of the dough, then fold the edge over to create a stuffed crust.
  7. Spread pizza sauce over the base, layer with pepperoni, and top with shredded mozzarella.
  8. Sprinkle cornmeal on the baking sheet or pizza stone to prevent sticking.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  10. Let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with marinara sauce for dipping and enjoy with a fresh salad for a balanced meal. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
