Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- Butter, melted for brushing
Instructions
- Mix warm water and yeast in a bowl; let it sit for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil; knead until smooth.
- Cover and let dough rise for 15 minutes in a warm place.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll dough into small pieces and flatten each piece.
- Place shredded mozzarella and minced garlic in the center and fold the dough over to form a knot.
- Place knots on a baking sheet and brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
For best results, use fresh ingredients and don’t overstuff the knots. Allow them to cool slightly before serving.
