Description

A tropical, flavorful dish combining tender chicken with a sweet pineapple and soy sauce glaze, perfect for easy, hands-free cooking in a slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Add the drained pineapple, soy sauce, brown sugar, and garlic.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours until the chicken is tender and easily shredded.
  4. Shred the chicken or serve whole, garnishing as desired.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, remove the chicken towards the end of cooking, mix cornstarch with water, and add to the sauce for an additional 15-30 minutes.
