Description

A simple and flavorful pot roast cooked slowly in a crockpot for tender and juicy meat, perfect for any day of the week.

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pounds chuck roast
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 6 to 8 pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup pepperoncini juice
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon garlic powder or onion powder
  • Optional: baby carrots or quartered potatoes

Instructions

  1. Add the chuck roast directly to the crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the roast.
  3. Place the pepperoncini around the roast and top it with the butter.
  4. Cover the crockpot and cook on LOW for 8 hours, or until the meat is fork-tender.
  5. Once cooked, shred the beef in the crockpot, mix with the juices, and serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or in sandwiches.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder or onion powder. Allow the pot roast to rest for a few minutes after cooking to enhance flavors.
