Description

Crisp, buttery spirals filled with garlicky richness — a snack that disappears fast at parties.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed, about 9 x 12 inches)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup finely grated Parmesan
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • Pinch of salt
  • Egg wash (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix softened butter with minced garlic, grated Parmesan, chopped parsley, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Roll the puff pastry to smooth seams and spread the garlic-parm butter evenly over it.
  3. Tightly roll the pastry from the long side into a log and wrap in plastic, then chill for 15 minutes.
  4. Slice the log into 12–16 rounds about 3/4-inch thick.
  5. Place pinwheels on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush with egg wash if using.
  6. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–15 minutes until golden and puffed.

Notes

Consider using unflavored dental floss for clean cuts. Rotate the baking sheet halfway through for even browning.
