Description

A delicious and nourishing lasagna layered with fresh spinach, ricotta, béchamel, and mozzarella, perfect for family gatherings and special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • Nutmeg to taste
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Prepare the béchamel by melting butter in a saucepan, then whisking in flour to form a roux.
  2. Slowly whisk in warm milk until the mixture thickens and becomes creamy.
  3. Sauté fresh spinach until wilted, then mix with ricotta cheese and a dash of nutmeg.
  4. Layer cooked lasagna noodles, spinach mixture, béchamel sauce, and shredded mozzarella in an oven-safe dish.
  5. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella on top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Allow to rest for at least 15 minutes before serving.
