Ingredients
- 9 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- Nutmeg to taste
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the béchamel by melting butter in a saucepan, then whisking in flour to form a roux.
- Slowly whisk in warm milk until the mixture thickens and becomes creamy.
- Sauté fresh spinach until wilted, then mix with ricotta cheese and a dash of nutmeg.
- Layer cooked lasagna noodles, spinach mixture, béchamel sauce, and shredded mozzarella in an oven-safe dish.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella on top.
- Cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to rest for at least 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
