Description

A delightful loaf that combines sweet apple and cinnamon flavors, perfect for autumn gatherings and cozy breakfasts.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups peeled and chopped apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and granulated sugar.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients gently; fold in the chopped apples.
  5. Pour half the batter into the prepared pan, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture, then add the remaining batter.
  6. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use tart apples for the best flavor balance. Consider adding nuts or a glaze for extra sweetness.
