Description
A simple recipe for nutritious banana and peanut butter chew sticks that your dog will love.
Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana, mashed
 - ½ cup unsweetened natural peanut butter (NO xylitol)
 - 1 egg
 - 2 cups whole wheat flour
 - ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
 - 2–4 tablespoons water (as needed for texture)
 
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
 - In a large bowl, mash the ripe banana until smooth.
 - Stir in the peanut butter and egg until everything is combined.
 - Gradually add the flour and cinnamon (if using). Add water 1 tablespoon at a time until a dough forms that is easy to handle.
 - Roll out the dough to ½-inch thickness. Cut it into stick shapes or use cookie cutters for fun shapes.
 - Place the shapes on the baking sheet and bake for 25–30 minutes until they are golden and firm.
 - Allow the sticks to cool completely before serving them to your dog.
 
Notes
Store the chew sticks in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. You can freeze them for longer storage.
